Over the years the establishment has been selected for various awards. Since 1999, Rodizio has consistently been voted “Best Dinner and Dance Venue” by the Leisure Options awards, as well as being nominated as a finalist In the FNB’s “Best Occasion Restaurant” category. Rodlzio believes in moving with the times. It Is for this reason that they have decided to branch out Into different avenues of related business. Just this year, Rodizio established an outside catering business, which incorporates the spirit of Carnival at any location the client desires. The various functions include: The Portuguese charity festival Lusito Land, which is run annually in Wemmer Pan over the Easter holidays. A Dainfern Family Fun Day, where Rodizio is the sole caterer of food and beverages. Various charity golf days, where a “watering hole” is sponsored by Rodizio, as well as a number of prizes for longest day or closest to the pin, sometimes even sponsoring a four-ball for the day as well. Rodizio started with a dream, and has since grown beyond wildest expectations and hopes. It has the heart and spirit of Brazilian Carnival coursing through its veins, which is at the core of the success of the business. The fact that ownership of the three stores has not changed brings about an air of stability, as well as the fact that many staff members have been at the restaurant since day one back in 1996 This too is proof of the kind of “family” that Rodizio aims to make - where every new guest arrives as a stranger but leaves a part of the family.
